Go Daddy

Today, I changed hosting providers from myhosting.com
to Go Daddy. I did this today because for some reason the Purdue
Course Scheduler began running very slowly on the myhosting.com web server, and even after I called several times,
they were not able to resolve the issue. I was planning on switching anyway since godaddy is only $7/month and
myhosting.com was $15/month (or $10/month if you get it for one year).

As part of the switch, I had to rewrite the personal class schedules page to generate HTML instead of
images because I was using WCF to generate images and that does not run in Go Daddy's medium trust environment.
It was hard to do because of the Internet Explorer box model bug.
The weird thing is that Chrome agreed with IE and not Firefox. The schedules display and print much better now.

Personal Purdue Class Schedules

Last weekend, I rolled out a new version of the Purdue Course Searcher that lets Purdue students
build their own personal schedules that they can share with others. In order to do this, users should
click on the "Create Web Page" button as shown in the first image below, and they will get their own
unique web page for their course schedule that looks like the second image below.

Emil's PDF Reviewer is a free tool that allows you to add comments to PDF files and share
them with your colleagues. It is perfect for reviewing business documents and academic
papers. It is now available for download.
